Social Butterfly

This week Brooks made his first high pitched squeals of excitement and did his first real belly laugh three times. It was a preview of the laughs ahead, as he has yet to repeat his belly laugh but he still makes his sweet little giggle sounds when he smiles with excitement. And smiles he gives. Brooks has been the social butterfly around campus these days, with nightly trips to the dining hall with Mom and Dad (usually Dad has the pleasure of carrying him), and daily excursions around campus. He even went to his first concert to watch fellow friend and soon-to-be dad Mr. DT.

Brooks and Mom started Music Together classes once a week in Newport. After a trial class Brooks proved he has a love for music and entertainment. He is the youngest in his "Babies" class but has yet to cry amongst the other whimpering tots! Mom has to help Brooks hold the baby maracas but he sure does feel like he's making music!

On Wednesday Brooks watched his first lacrosse game and got to see his Dad in coaching action. The team didn't win, sadly, but that didn't stop Brooks from visualizing a future as an athlete.
