Hands Taste Good

Brooks is 2 and 1/2 months old and every bit that age! He is devouring his hands, and has decided he wants to see the world from greater heights letting Mom hold him while he pretends to stand. For some reason this gets him cooing and "talking" so much. New sounds emerge daily, the latest was a high pitched squeel. Brooks is enamoured with his Dad, and lights up every time he sees him. The feeling of course is mutual.

Look at that wrist!

Now that he is relatively safe from illnesses (thanks to his numerous vaccines) he has made his appearance at dorm duty and evening meals in the dining hall. He enjoys being carried by Dad and at first fell asleep with ease. Lately, however, he prefers to stay wide awake to observe all the happenings at dinner.
Smiling in his sleep

Mom's favorite gift from Brooks these past two weeks has been four nights of 6-7 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Mom knows not to get too used to this, but knowing that Brooks CAN sleep that long is a relief.

Another milestone, caught on camera: Brooks started grabbing the ring on his activity mat. When he does this it inevitably hits his friend the owl which then makes the most magical noise.

  1. What a beautiful grandson I have. I will have him in my arms soon and long to hear that belly laugh. Pat Murphy aka Colin's mom
